Deborah P. Britzman is Distinguished Research Professor at York University. Widely known for her published work in bringing psychoanalysis to discussions of contemporary pedagogy, teacher education, social inequality, and problems of intolerance and historical crisis, Britzman is also involved in the clinical side of psychoanalysis where she is a candidate with the Toronto Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis.
