Caroline Fei-Yeng Kwok was born in Hong Kong in l95l. After attending Ying Wa Girls' School in Hong Kong, she went to study English Literature at the University of Minnesota in l970. She graduated with Summa Cum Laude and an Honors Award. She then returned to Hong Kong and taught English as a Second Language at the University of Hong Kong there before her immigration to Canada in l974. In l975, she received her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Toronto and started teaching with the Toronto District School Board. In l982, she received her Master of Education degree from OISE, University of Toronto. She was admitted to the Summer School Program of Yale University in their Department of Creative Writing in I996. She was a recipient of the 2001 Courage-to-Come-Back Award sponsored by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, Canada. |
