Christine Padesky CoFounder of the Center for Cognitive Therapy, Newport Beach, California (relocated to Huntington Beach in 2000). Dr. Christine Padesky has been cited as one of the leading Cognitive Therapy instructors in the world. She has presented over 200 workshops to more than 20,000 professionals throughout North America and Europe including the five World Congresses of Cognitive Therapy (Sweden, England, Canada, Denmark, and Mexico) as well as 25 workshops with cognitive therapy's founder, Dr. Aaron T. Beck. She provides supervision and consultation to mental health professionals worldwide as well as cognitive therapy centers, clinics, hospitals, and HMO's. Dr. Padesky serves as a consultant to public television's psychology telecourse and is former chair of the California Psychology Association's division of Training and Education. Dr. Padesky develops audio and videotape training materials that demonstrate cognitive therapy processes and protocols and is a featured therapist in several award-winning educational films. She is co-author of Clinician's Guide to Mind Over Mood, Cognitive Therapy with Personality Disorders, Cognitive Therapy with Couples, and a best selling cognitive therapy self-help book Mind Over Mood: Change How You Feel by Changing the Way You Think.
