Mary Target, Ph.D., is Reader in Psychoanalysis at University College London and Professional Director of the Anna Freud Centre. She trained as a clinical psychologist and later as an adult psychoanalyst. She is Course Organizer of an MSc in Theoretical Psychoanalytic Studies at UCL and Academic Course Organizer of a DPsych in Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at UCL jointly with the Anna Freud Centre. In addition to a clinical practice and university teaching, she carries out clinically-oriented research with children, investigating treatment outcomes and measures of social and emotional development (especially attachment and reflective functioning), in the middle school years. --- from the workshop brochure
