This training is suitable for: Mental health professionals, medical professionals and direct service workers. This workshop will cover a CBT conceptualization of psychosis, common misconceptions regarding the suitability of this population for psychotherapy, as well as an overview of the treatment rationale and CBT strategies that are most helpful for these clients. Participants will also learn how to treat delusions, hallucinations, thought and disorder and negative symptoms. Time will be provided to examine some of the outcome literature highlighting the effectiveness of CBT in treating psychosis. This is Learning Module 2 of the 2019 Certificate in CBT Level 2. This module may be taken separately from the certificate program as a stand-alone workshop.
