He initiated the Safe Integration Project (SIP) which intends to prevent family violence within families coming from conflict zones that have experienced pre-migration trauma. He was also the 2011 John Robinson Award recipient and one of the recipients of the 2012 Attorney General's Victim Services Awards of Distinction.
