This volume of The Psychoanalytic Study of the Child commemorates the one-hundredth birthday of Anna Freud, who, with Ernst Kris and Heinz Hartman, founded this annual repository of writings on child psychoanalysis and child development. The first section of the book contains the program of a day-long scientific meeting in December, 1995 that explored aspects of Anna Freud's contributions to psychoanalytic development and their applications. Contributors to that meeting and to further sections of the book that deal with psychoanalytic theory, development, clinical contributions, and applied psychoanalysis include: "Anna Freud at Yale" Symposium Albert J.
