This 5th edition has been updated to include information from the DSM-5, published in 2013 by the American Psychiatric Association. There is an emphasis on practical strategies and adaptation of existing approaches that can be used on a day-to-day basis. The Mental Health Consultation Information Form, a comprehensive tool used to prepare for a consultation, is included. The Handbook is currently being used as the textbook for college courses.
