The RR Document is a crime thriller concerning technological misadventure and political machinations. Throughout this well-written novel the reader will discover a kaleidoscope of cultural experiences. The charms of Zurich are explored, as is city of Bogota with its millions of inhabitants - many of whom live in squalor and a few with great riches. The RR Document shows to what ends political power and riches can lead: to uninhibited treatment of human beings and the outer bounds of depravity and perversity, yet, more importantly the heights of love, affection, and astounding beauty.
'The Bridge' was the working title for the RR Document, referring to an actual event that occurred near Geneva in the seventies. A highway ramp leading from the lake to the Geneva-Lausanne Autoroute sank several centimeters under one of its very elegant slender pillars during the loading test. This accident, when combined with a great variety of actual and fictitious experiences, and peopled with many attractive as well as less attractive characters, turns out to be the nail on which this novel's hat hangs.
