A psychoanalyst-in-training and the owner of a grape and lavender ranch, the author never considered herself the New Age type. However, a series of unusual events sent her down a transformational path, redefining her view of the nature of the self, the spirit, and reality as a whole. This memoir details these events and her ensuing journey of illumination as she gleaned a practical and non-ordinary worldview through intensive work with unorthodox teachers and healers. Her focus on self-exploration, analysis, and spirituality brought her to shamanism and ultimately, biodynamics as she adopted spiritual principles in both her farming and lifestyle. This memoir will be of interest to those interested in the philosophy and teachings of C. G. Jung, Rudolf Steiner, and Goethe, and in the practical applications of these philosophies in organic and Biodynamic farming, shamanism, Jungian psychology, spirituality, anthroposophy, and the environment.

About the Author:

Patricia Damery is an author, a Jungian analyst in private practice in Napa, California, and maintains a Demeter certified Biodynamic farm. Her life has been about seeking the divine in everyday life. Her writing explores “re-membering” an older way of perceiving the natural world while also valuing our intellect, a shift she believes critical to the survival of life as we know it.
