Zu-hua Gao, MD, PhD, chair of the Department of Pathology at McGill University and pathologist-in-chief at the McGill University Health Centre, is the lead author of Pathology Review, the only review guide for pathologists studying for Canadian licensing exams. Dr. Gao received his MD at Qingdao Medical College and earned a PhD at Peking Union Medical College before travelling to North America to complete post-doctoral studies at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Western Ontario. A two-time winner of the Canadian Chair of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Award in Experimental Pathology, Dr. Gao was also named an Overseas Distinguished Scholar by the City of Beijing in 2012.
