Liz Kalinowska and Daška Hatton invite you into the therapy room to reveal the underlying dynamics of the client-therapist relationship and discuss ways of dealing with potential pitfalls that may prevent successful treatment. Even with extensive technical knowledge, it is often difficult to prepare for the actual experience of working with new clients. This book allows you to observe 10 craniosacral therapy sessions and learn why the manner in which you work with clients is just as important as the treatment you provide. The perspectives of both client and therapist give valuable insight into how to begin working with new clients, how to decide on a treatment plan, how clients experience treatment, and what happens to them between sessions. Boundary, transference and trust issues are explored, providing you with essential knowledge not covered in technical textbooks. Helpful commentary from Liz and Daška about the course of therapy together with illustrations from legend and myth help you to see the work in a wider context.
