Hi. I'm Ryan. I'm lucky. I've had the chance to pursue many
of my passions. I've been active in visual
arts, dramatic performance and I love to
sing. On Growin' Up was a University art project
that allowed me to consider and share some
of the history that has helped me embrace
more of who I am. I hope that in shining light on some of
my darker moments, from the safety of
the future where I have transcended
them, I will help you do the same. I can also be crass.
Sometimes. Each book is
hand-made, hand-cut,
hand-bound, and with hand-
chosen (by yours truly) colourful
endpapers by a man named Richard,
who owns an art gallery and lives in
Leslieville, Toronto. (He’s in BC for now.) No two copies of On Growin’ Up are alike! Yes, that’s my handwriting. And my Dad’s,
my Step-Mom’s, my Mom’s and a couple
of stand in ‘bully’ friends.
