This handbook for middle grade tutors provides all the materials needed for teaching students the skills they need to help others learn. The early units in the program cover helping relationships, communication skills, behavior management, and principles of education. Skills for tutoring in specific content areas follow. Once trained, middle school students can work as peer tutors (tutees of the same age) or cross-age tutors (tutoring younger students). Reproducible materials provided when needed. |
