This series focuses handling relationships with people who have traits of both Borderline Personality Disorder and Narcissistic Personality Disorder ("BPD/NPD"). According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 25% of people with BPD also have NPD. The largest study of personality disorders, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, reported in 2008 that 5.9% of the general population meets the criteria for BPD and 6.2% meet the criteria for NPD, in approximately equal numbers of men and women.
