St. Michael's Hosptial Inner City Health Program in Partnership with JVS Toronto has published its 2005 wall calendar featuring art and prose of artists from the Creative Works Studio.

Creative Works Studio is a comprehensive art community outreach program facilitated by the Inner City Health Program of St. Michael's Hospital, in partnership with JVS Toronto and the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

The Inner City Health Program provides high quality health care to individuals with a special empahasis on high risk and priority populations. With a focus on educational and vocational services, JVS Toronto helps members to identify their strengths and goals, develop skills and achieve success in school, work and life. Via these two organizations, Creative Works Studio combines creative therapeutic healing with arts vocational training.

Over time the studio's mandate has grown to also include economic development and skill training in the visual arts. Our vision also includes public education through the arts, a process that aims to reduce stigmatization and vocalize the imperative of social justice. -- from the creative works studio website
