A Mindful Society 2020

Hi there! And welcome to Caversham Booksellers virtual book table for A Mindful Society!
"In these uncertain times...", reads the first line of Jessica Salfia's excellent poem made of the first lines of emails she received while quarantining. We think this is most appropriate for a conference on mindfulness as it speaks, not just to our own personal experiences of this age, but also to an awareness both of other people's experience but also of the experience of experiencing - of being present, even when the present is so very strange. We at Caversham, are obsessed with encouraging this perspective, and we are grateful to participate again with AMS, now for our sixth year.
Though we can't be there in person, we still wanted to show you some of the rich variety of titles we carry on mindfulness, as well as show off some of the esteemed speakers' books and materials. Please look around and explore resources available on topics you'll be hearing about during the conference. Also, as North America's largest mental health bookstore, our website has nearly 75,000 books, cards, journals, posters, DVDs and more on thousands of topics of interest to mental health professionals. We just put out our Spring 2020 Catalogue of new and interesting titles - feel free to browse it here (Link) or drop us a line and we'll send a physical one to your door - perfect for at-home browsing!

As always, AMS is blessed with world-renowned speakers, many of whom have recent books. Rick Hanson, who gives the talk for the pre-conference as well as the opening keynote, has written a number of notable and bestselling books, including the sure to be a hit, Neurodharma, hot-off-the-press and available right now at the conference, before the official release date. Another prolific author, Elisha Goldstein, giving the closing keynote as well as the post-conference talk, also has a number of titles, including his most recent second edition of A Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Workbook. Caversham is proud to also carry titles by Cheryl Fraser, Sheri Turrell, Barry Boyce, Tamara Russell and Mark Leonard, as well as titles by AMS community and past-presenters.
