Why not make the most of your trip to Vancouver by planning a bit of a holiday? You could take a ferry to the Gulf Islands and rent a cottage for a week on Salt Spring or Pender. Go sea kayaking and walk miles of Pacific Ocean beach in Tofino. Reserve now for dinner at the famous Sooke Harbour House Restaurant, north of Victoria. Golf in Whistler or at Predator Ridge resort in the Okanagan. Take BC ferries up to Prince Rupert and drive back through the Cariboo Chilcotin, or head to Alaska on a cruise. Train lovers jump on the Rocky Mountaineer for a daytrip to Whistler. If you plan to discover Vancouver, cycle around the city or walk the sea wall around Stanley Park with a colleague from the Western Branch; hike up the “Grind” on Grouse Mountain; visit UBC’s world class Museum of Anthropology or take in a concert at the Chan Centre; come enjoy Vancouver’s international cuisines and BC wines; see Canada anew, go cross country by train.

We’re planning an exciting congress in 2013. Stay tuned for our Call for Workshop Submissions in early September; finalized congress brochure by Christmas. Join us in Vancouver in June!
