In the Study Group, experienced therapists and members of the Canadian Association for Psychoanalytic Child Therapy and of the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society will start by presenting aspects of clinical work with infants, children, adolescents and their parents. This will provide group members with an opportunity to hear and to think together, and to examine, discuss and question the use of specific differential psychoanalytic
techniques in depth. We encourage therapists and practitioners to share their struggles or issues/problems that they grapple with in the course of doing psychoanalytic therapy with infants, children, adolescents and their

Learning Objectives:
- Participants will learn to understand in more depth the psychoanalytic process in clinical work with infants, children, adolescents and their families.
- Participants will have a clearer understanding of when to use certain techniques/interventions/interpretations in psychoanalytic therapy with infants, children, adolescents and their families.
- Participants will learn about work with children through the medium of play.

As this is a study group, there is no participation fee, but registration and regular attendance is required. It is open to any clinician who is interested in this area.
