Socially Aware and Mindful
In these strange and often deeply troubling times, it's important to be aware of the many issues effecting our society. Mindful communication and exchange is key to the healing we have to do as a society. In order to speak to that need, we've collected a series of books around communication and awareness, crossing bridges to make a whole society out of fractured pieces.
Collected here are a selection of books to bring more awareness to unconcious biases and the methods of social exclusion. The recently published Microaggressions in Everyday Life is a great guide to the subject, providing clear guidance on the daily issues people in minority groups face. Also well received is It's Time to Talk (And Listen), a guide to the conversations our society needs to have to encourage collective healing and understanding. If you're looking to deepen your understanding of some of the issues of inequality facing us today, this list of resources is a great place to start.
Just a reminder: we are offering free shipping across Canada and the USA for the month of May (USA residents, please put "AMS2020" in the comments of your orders for free freight). And we're available throughout the conference to answer any questions you may have - please, feel free to call us
