Tamara Russell

Tamara Russell is an experienced clinical psychologist, martial artist and neuroscientist who brings a unique, multiple perspective to mindfulness teaching, thinking, therapy and research. She's at AMS presenting two case studies: The Death Incubator: Mindful 360 Design in the VR Environment, with Jose Montemayor Alba, and What Colour is Your Dragon? Systems Mindfulness to Increase Compassion, with Raquel Lhullier. Her books make a nice adjunct to these special topics: her first book, Mindfulness in Motion, will guide you step-by-step through her Body in Mind Training (BMT) programme, a unique approach to secular mindfulness that uses the moving body as the main meditation tool. Her second book, #whatismindfulness, is reprinting, but Watkins' distributor, Penguin Random House, found us two dozen copies! Pick one up, and see the author demystify the confusions that often get in the way of mindfulness training.
