CICAPP - Canadian Institute for Child & Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy
A 15-session extension program designed for those interested in learning the principles of psychoanalysis as they apply to understanding children and their worlds.
Program runs weekly, on Monday evenings 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. from January – April 2018.
About the Program
Professionals already working with children and adolescents will feel enriched by the concepts and theories that depth psychology can offer on development, parenting, pathology and treatment. The weekly seminars will help prepare those interested in applying to the four-year Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program at the Canadian Institute for Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Prior knowledge of psychoanalytic theories is not required.
Please register by November 15, 2017.
The program will be delivered through weekly two-hour seminars. Topics include:
• Psychoanalytic Theory Introduction
• Concepts of Development
• Concepts of Relationship Development
• Psychoanalytic Understanding of Childhood Trauma, Depression and Anxietu
• Psychoanalytic Intervention Using Play
