Several studies show that comorbidity is a rule rather than an exception. The most frequent comorbid conditions are anxiety, depression, ADHD, addictions and physical health conditions. Unified CBT provides a functional and formulation-based approach using pragmatic principles to treat comorbid conditions encountered in mental health practice. There are very few publications or training programs in this area crucial to practice. This is partly because the academic/specialist approach often focuses on the treatment of single conditions and consequently does not provide a practical framework for treating multiple comorbid conditions. This Webinar is FREE for Ontario Registered Social Workers (RSW), Registered Social Service Workers (RSSW) and Students of Social Work and Social Service Work Programs. Please note: If you are not an RSW, RSSW or student of these programs in Ontario, you may still attend but will be charged a nominal fee of $30. About the Speaker: Dr. Sanjay Rao is the Director of Unified CBT, he is an experienced teacher and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa. In 2018, he was awarded a Fellowship by the Canadian Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapies for his contribution to CBT in Canada. He has also received an award from the Department of Health, UK for CBT development. Dr. Rao has delivered over 400 workshops in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. Presented in national and international conferences and published in several scientific journals.
