Certificate in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Level 1: Practical solutions to real world problems - live webinar

Facilitator: Nili R. Benazon, PhD.
presented by SickKids CCMH Learning Institute

This June 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2020 training will be offered as a live webinar series

This training is suitable for:

Mental Health Professionals: psychotherapists, counsellors, psychologists, social workers.
Medical Professionals: nurses, psychiatrists, pediatricians, family doctors.
Direct Service Workers: drop in workers, shelter and hostel workers.

In this introductory four-day certificate program, participants will learn the main strategies for cognitive and behavioural therapy (CBT). Tools discussed will include case formulation and conceptualization; identification and modification of thoughts; behaviour activation; behaviour experiments; exposure; role playing; cognitive rehearsal; and problem-solving. This course is not specific to a particular client population or clinical disorder. It provides instruction on a set of tools that can be applied to common and more complex mental health conditions. The format of this training includes didactic presentation, experiential exercises, feedback, and a focus on micro-skill development.

Distance learning is now available

At SickKids CCMH Learning Institute, we are committed to advancing best practices through mental health training and education that is relevant and meets the needs of the community.

It is in that vein that we are pleased to announce that many of our trainings are NOW available via LIVE WEBINAR . As many of you continue to support those in our community via virtual platforms or the phone, we will strive to continue to support your professional development through distance learning.

During this transition, we ask for your patience as we make the switch to this alternative learning method for YOUR mental health training and education opportunities. We will continue to update our website and keep you informed of any changes. Further communication will be sent out directly to those registered in any training program with us between April 1 to July 31.
