Monday, March 9th 2020 - Tuesday, April 14th 2020

Deadline Extended to April 15, 2020: Fundamental Psychoanalytic Perspectives Program (FPP)

presented by Toronto Psychoanalytic Society

All our classes are taught by psychoanalysts who are members of our Society, and cover a wide range of topics in 29 weekly Thursday evening seminars. Freud is read in the original, and there are classes on object relations, self psychology, depression, anxiety, the defenses, and attachment theory, to name a few. It is the perfect way to get an introduction to the diversity of theories and concepts of psychoanalysis.

Classes usually consist of an interesting mix of professions and perspectives: clinicians, lawyers, artists, business people, and academics, which makes for extremely lively, open, and interesting discussion. The educational requirement for admission to the Program is a Masters degree, or a professional degree. However, please note that the FPP is not a training program. Personal therapy is, of course, an asset. All applicants will be interviewed by a member of the Committee.

The start date for the new class will be September 2020. Applications are due by April 1, 2020 and are downloadable from our website

Below is the application link for your handiness:

The FPP program meets the accreditation criteria of the College of Family Physicians and has been accredited for 56 Main-Pro MI credits (2 Mainpro-M1 credits per session). It has been recognized under Section One of the Framework for Maintenance of Certification of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and has been accredited for 56.0 Section 1 credits (2 Section 1 credits per session)

Application fee: $150.00; Tuition fee: $1500.00.

If you have any questions please feel free to email the FPP Director: Tony Toneatto PhD., CPsych. FIPA [email protected]
