This Training is Suitable for: Educators, mental health professionals, medical professionals, direct service workers, and anyone interested in adapting a mindfulness practice into their lives. Description: This workshop is designed for those interested in mindfulness and in developing a mindfulness practice at work. Participants will walk away from this program with tools and techniques to develop a mindfulness practice, as well as strategies to manage the barriers that get in the way of developing and maintaining a mindfulness practice. Workshop Summary: Mindfulness in the workplace helps to increase productivity and resiliency; it builds effective communication and decision making skills, and reduces conflict. This workshop is designed for those interested in mindfulness and how to develop a mindfulness practice at work. You will learn the history and neuroscience of mindfulness and how mindfulness can make you a more effective leader. You will explore techniques to develop a mindfulness practice, as well as how to overcome challenges that can get in the way. This is an interactive workshop where you will practice in small groups and on our own. You will leave with tools, techniques and resources to help you to continue to build your mindfulness practice. Marion specializes in the practical how-to of difficult and transformational conversational methods and questions. Her focus is on supporting leaders in the creation of positive change in their relationships with staff, community partners, and funders, while operating from a deeply empathic set of values, skills, and premises. She specializes in innovative leadership development, team and group dynamics, workplace communications, mind/body integration, and career transitions and decisions.
