Prerequisites:
Applications are welcomed from the broad field of mental health professionals. Preferred requirements for applications to the comprehensive Clinical training program are from those who possess a post-graduate degree and professional designation to practise as psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers or psychotherapists. 1-Year Essentials of Psychoanalysis Program

This program is open to anyone interested in gaining a foundational understanding of psychoanalytic theories and their application to practice. The program also provides a solid base for those interested in pursuing further training in psychodynamic psychotherapy.
Classes are held once per week, on Tuesday evenings from September until May from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. EST. All classes are held online via videoconference (Zoom).

This course is open to those professionals who have undertaken Level One training and are beginning to use the principles and interventions of Dyadic Developmental Practice, Parenting and Psychotherapy in their day-to-day work. It focuses on gaining a deeper understanding of the theory, successes and barriers experienced by participants in applying the model in practice, more videos and discussion of DDP and the impact of participant’s own attachment experiences.
