This training is suitable for: Those providing mental health care to children, youth, and families.
This training will be most useful to those who already have some understanding of common mental health conditions affecting young people and who are looking to ensure their clinical work meets the needs of a diverse population.
This training will give guidance to professionals in providing culturally competent clinical care for underserved, diverse, racialized young people and their families. Participants will gain a greater understanding of the barriers and specific struggles facing racialized young people/families and walk away with engagement strategies specific to racialized young people/families when providing mental health care.
