COVID-19 June 24th Update
2020-06-24 After some careful consideration, we at Caversham have decided to remain closed to the public for the time being. The physical limitations of our store and the need to staff it present hurdles we are not yet set up to overcome, though we are working towards that eventuality. Even with the province and city now moving into Stage Two, the physical and mental health of our staff and community must come first. We will reopen when all of our staff are comfortable with the precautions and methods we implement to further halt the spread of COVID-19. We are continuing to ship books and products across Canada (free over $50.00) as well as internationally, and are committed to a quick turnaround for curbside pickups. Orders under $50 will be charged our regular flat rate of $6 shipping. More urgent requests can be quoted at what cost and means might assist in meeting time-sensitive delivery requirements. As shipping companies continue to have difficulties with an increase in volume while trying to maintain health and safety, we cannot offer guarantees. Processing times, typically: Free shipping: Order (for titles in stock) is processed and will ship within 1-3 business days (Transit time between 1 and 7 business days depending on location) Expedited shipping: In-stock titles processed and will ship within one business day (Transit time between 1 and 7 business days depending on location) Some orders may be hand-delivered by those of our staff who walk and bike to and from Harbord Street, but not necessarily on a same- or next-day basis. If you choose to pick up your order, please pay in advance, and then call when you arrive (between 9am and 6pm Monday to Saturday). We miss our community as much as you miss coming in to browse!
