Children are meant to listen all the time, right? Wrong! Not Ella! It's time everyone listened to HER about what is NOT okay. Fierce little Ella wants everyone to know that her voice is important too! But will her parents support her? Will her friends respect her? Let's find out!

Does your child know what consent means? Does your child know what a personal boundary is? These are life skills that children should learn from their loved ones. However, conversations about consent and boundaries with young children are challenging. Let Ella's story guide you in a way that your child can relate to.

Ella's Choice is a must-have for any parent who wants to empower their child's voice and foster healthy emotional development.

About the Author:

Dr. Gaiathry Jeyarajan is a psychiatrist who completed her medical training at Saba University School of Medicine, in the Netherlands-Antilles and her psychiatry residency training at the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. She is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents and hopes to inspire the next generation of physicians to view their work through a trauma-focused lens. Her clinical practice includes various marginalized and underserviced communities throughout Ontario. Having pursued extensive specialty training in trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder, she takes an empathic and eclectic approach toward treating her patients. This book is a reflection of her genuine desire to help break the cycle of child abuse. Outside of work, Dr. Jeyarajan likes to spend time with her family and friends, meditate, jog, hike, swim, play soccer, and travel.
