Why does Caversham carry this title? The same reason why I consider it one of my most prized books. Simply put, this is a brilliant, often hillarious collection of essays with Anderson's original and to the point commentary running throughout. If anyone has ever wondered why the world seems to make so little sense, it is because it quite simply doesn't. Well at least not in any conventional terms. Reading through this book, you'll notice many of the most conventional psychological problems described not as problems per se, rather as various coping strategies to an ever shifting world that seems to have lost its secure base. I realise that most professionals can't seem to find time to read books simply for enjoyment, but there is a lot more to this book than that. After reading this book, you will never look at the world in the same way again.
