Listening to My Body is an engaging and interactive picture book that introduces children to the practice of paying attention to their bodies. Through a combination of story and simple experiential activities, it guides them through the process of noticing and naming their feelings and the physical sensations that accompany them, helping to build on their capacity to engage mindfully, self-regulate and develop a deeper sense of well-being.

From “buzzing” and “tingly” to “wiggly” and “squirmy”, Listening to My Body gives children the vocabulary to name their sensations and cultivates the message that whatever they are experiencing is okay. Putting these concepts into practice will help children get better at figuring out what they need to show care and kindness for themselves, especially when they experience difficult emotions.

Listening to My Body is a wonderful resource for parents, counselors and teachers!

In Listening to My Body, Gabi has created the perfect accompaniment for parents, teachers and practitioners who are helping children learn mindfulness and calming practices. This easy to use storybook will surely captivate the child’s imagination as they embark on a beautiful mindful journey of discovering how their body and mind connect in order to make their world feel more peaceful. As your child begins safely exploring their inner world, practicing and demystifying sensations and feelings, you will find that they will latch on to a few new favorite tools they can conjure up during emotional storms.

Listening to my Body immerses your child in a fun, sensory experience, which propels them on their journey of mastering self-regulation skills. They will discover and you will delight in how quickly they will be able to master techniques they will use for the rest of their lives.
