About the Author:

Consultant Dr. Leslie Becker-Phelps is a well-respected psychologist, who is dedicated to helping people understand themselves and what they need to do to become emotionally and psychologically healthy. She is the author of the book Insecure in Love (New Harbinger Publications, 2014). She is a regular writer for WebMD’s relationships blog, which sees approximately half a million page views each month. She also writes a blog, “Making Change,” for Psychology Today. In addition, she maintains her own website, DrBecker-Phelps.com.

Dr. Becker-Phelps has presented around the country on a variety of mental health issues. She has been invited to address physicians and other healthcare professionals, as well to the public. And, through Cross Country Education, she provides continuing education seminars for mental health professionals about building a secure attachment style. She has also been interviewed extensively for print and online magazines, radio, and television. She is based in Basking Ridge, N.J.
