The first anthology bringing together trans voices on the intersection of gender identity and mental health
This anthology brings together the many different experiences around gender, identity and mental health. It documents trans and gender nonconforming writers as they recover their identity and live as their authentic selves in the face of adversity.
It covers topics including anxiety, addiction, OCD, PTSD and eating disorders among many others, rewriting the narrative on gender identity and metal health. Moving from medicalisation and into the real lived experiences of trans people in their own words, these accounts provide salient and practical advice on recovery, empowering others living on this intersection.
Ariel Estrella is a queer Latinx/e scholar hailing from Queens, NYC who focuses their advocacy on fostering beloved communities. Ariel's writing has appeared in anthologies published by Arsenal Pulp, Jessica Kingsley Publishers, and Tia Chucha Press.
