Portrait of Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (55 minutes)

The first DVD in French about ADHD, Portrait du Trouble Déficitaire de l'Attention avec ou sans Hyperactivité, is now available in English !

Discover an innovative education tool about ADHD through the steps of life that is scientific, dynamic and accessible to everybody!

Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, also called ADHD, is a frequent neurological problem that presents itself during childhood and remains most of the time in adulthood. The symptoms have an impact on a daily basis and often require an adapted intervention. The evolution of science in this field is really fast and there are many options available for the treatment.

With supporting testimonies, this document is an interesting pedagogical tool to learn more about ADHD and to live better with it. This document covers 5 themes : clinical presentation, associated problems, scientific facts, diagnostic strategies and treatments. This pedagogical tool, produced by the Education Department of the Institut Universitaire en Santé Mentale, Centre hospitalier Robert-Giffard, is aimed at everybody concerned with ADHD, for professional or personal interest.

Annick Vincent, M.D. psychiatrist and Martin Lafleur, Ph. D. neuropsychologist, have been working for many years with adults with ADHD. They're both involved in ADHD education for people concerned and their families, the mass audience and health and education professionals.

Dr Vincent is also the author of books about ADHD : Mon cerveau a besoin de lunettes and Mon cerveau a encore besoin de lunettes, best-sellers in Quebec. Her books are now available in English : My Brain Needs Glasses and My Brain Still Needs Glasses.
