About the Author:

Amishi P. Jha, PhD is a professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Miami, where she serves as the Director of Contemplative Neuroscience for the Mindfulness Research and Practice Initiative. She leads research on the neural bases of attention and the effects of mindfulness-based training programs on cognition, emotion and resilience. Her work has been featured at TED.com, the World Economic Forum, NATO, the Pentagon, NYTimes, NPR, Forbes, Time, Newsweek.
