Gilla Shapiro is currently pursuing her Masters in Public Policy at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, Germany. She received her Bachelors of Arts at Cambridge University in Social and Political Science, where she concentrated on Social Psychology. Gilla has interests across policy fields; she is especially interested in health, education and social policy. Gilla is a published author in areas related to this book, and most recently has published a review on CPAP compliance in the Journal of Sleep and Breathing.

Dora Zalai completed her medical degree at the Semmelweis University, Hungary and earned her post graduate Diploma in Psychology in the UK. She is a counselor at the Sleep and Alertness Clinic, Toronto and the International Sleep Clinic in Parry Sound and also, she manages the behavioral and psychotherapy programs at the Sleep and Alertness Clinic. Being committed to develop, provide, and manage the non-medication treatment of sleep problems and daytime fatigue, her goal is to increase the quality of life of and to provide psychological support to people suffering from sleep difficulties.

Nikola N. Trajanovic, MD, ABSM, FAASM is a board certified sleep specialist with a special interest in parasomnias and challenging issues in the treatment of Sleep Apnea. Dr. Trajanovic has published a number of original research papers and has contributed to several sleep medicine reference textbooks. He is currently commuting between his clinical practice in Belgrade, Serbia and his reserch projects in Toronto, Canada.

Dr. Jorge Mallea is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, the Associate Director of the Mount Sinai Comprehensive Center for Sleep Medicine in New York and a member of the Standards of Practice Committee of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He received his MD at the National University of San Agustin in Peru, completed his internal medicine residency at New York Medical College and a Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Fellowship at St. Louis University. He is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. His interests include the mechanisms and treatment of obstructive Sleep Apnea, and the factors that influence adherence to CPAP.
