She is the Program Director Assistant Director of Training at the Harvard-affiliated McLean Hospital, is a unique, residential DBT program for young women exhibiting self-endangering behaviors and borderline personality traits. She specializes in adolescent psychotherapy, including DBT. She has a particular interest in using mindfulness and yoga in the treatment of BPD and other psychiatric illnesses. Blaise Aguirre, MD, is a trainer in, and specializes in, DBT as well as other treatments such as mentalization-based treatment (MBT) for borderline personality disorder and associated conditions. He is the founding medical director of 3East continuum of care, an array of programs which use DBT to target self-endangering behaviors as well as the symptoms of borderline personality disorder (BPD) traits.
