Twenty-year-old Jared Clarkson's lifetime of prisoner dreams and unusual experiences culminate in a paranormal experience in 1969 while visiting Dachau concentration camp museum where he discovers a secret about himself that explains his life, and threatens his survival. This coming of age novel includes 50's and 60's culture and his rebellion against the evangelical values of his family.

" Holden Caulfield meets Steven King. This page turner won't disappoint."

Twenty year old Jared Clarkson is in hospital following a suicide attempt precipitated by a paranormal experience during a 1969 back-packing visit to Dachau concentration camp museum. Transported to 1943 Jared discovers a horrible secret about himself.

The book flashes between Jared's psychotherapy and his childhood including his foster child status, conflict with a bully in a two-room country school, sexual abuse by a shopkeeper, and rebellion against the religious right fundamentalism of his foster parents.

Tragic in places, poignant and funny in others, this compelling read will entertain, resonate and challenge especially those readers who grew up in small town Ontario during the 60's.

...this work has an esoteric angle which is hidden...It quietly converges into a wonderful landscape of human existence... Insightful and left me curious to hear more from this author.

...I read it with great interest...you write well and have courage to write about such difficult issues.
