An indispensable resource for all professionals involved with parents who have learning difficulties, this reference presents an innovative approach to assessing parenting capacity; an approach that can lead to more humane and just child custody decisions. Leading researchers and practitioners in the field not only address the unique needs of these families, but also include detailed background information, rationales, and methods. Filled with examples and case studies, this comprehensive record includes a theoretical interactive model underlying the assessment approach.
