About the Authors:

Jamie S. Salter, Ed.S., BCBA

In collaboration with Dr. Croce, Jamie S. Salter, Ed.S., BCBA authored the Self & Match System; an evidence-based self-monitoring intervention that is grounded in principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Jamie currently supports teams around the globe in the development and implementation of Self & Match interventions as a Tier 1, 2, or 3 behavioral tool within the school, clinic, and home settings. She coordinates trainings (in-person and virtually) and is available for consultation. Previously, Jamie served for a decade as a Special Education Senior Program Specialist. In that role Jamie led special educators in writing effective and legally-defensible Behavior Intervention Plans, guided special educators in program and curriculum development, and facilitated students, families, and IEP teams in selecting appropriate programs for students that best met their unique abilities! Jamie received her Educational Specialist degree, Nationally Certified School Psychologist status, and BCBA certification through Lehigh University. Jamie has been actively involved in supporting children with autism for over 20 years. These experiences include serving as Supervisor of an U.S. Department of Education Training Grant (focused on inclusion of students with low incidence disabilities), overseeing a school-based clinic that provided an emphasis on Intensive Behavioral Interventions, social skills groups/ sibling support groups facilitator, providing in-home behavioral intervention, and presenter at multiple International Conferences. Jamie has served on the state-wide PENT Leadership team since 2016.

Jamie is an avid pickleball player! She loves traveling, cheering on her boys’ extracurricular activities, coffee, and completing jigsaw puzzles with her family!

Katharine Croce, Ed.D., BCBA-D

Dr. Katie Croce is a BCBA-D. Katie received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Joseph’s University, MS. Ed., in Applied Behavior Analysis from Temple University, a BA in psychology from LaSalle University, and Autism Certificate from Penn State. Katie has worked as a behavior analyst and special education program coordinator in schools, homes, and an in-patient hospital for children and adolescents with ASD/DD/ID. One of Katie’s greatest joys is developing programs from the ground up! In her role as Director of Program’s Katie was able to envision and develop clinic programs for individuals with ASD including social skills programs, an inclusive summer camp, a respite program, a sports program, a college-bound retreat for students with ASD interested in attending college, and a support program for college students with ASD. Katie currently works in higher education creating and teaching undergraduate and graduate course work in ASD and ABA. Katie is passionate about teaching, mentoring and inspiring the next generation of behavior analysts to provide the highest quality care based in science to those we serve with compassion and collaboration at heart!

Those who know Katie know she is happiest when wearing Lilly Pulitzer. She is very involved with the fundraising at her kids school and cheering them on the sidelines at sporting events. Is actively involved in professional organizations in her field and is active in ABAinPA. Loves to travel and having her toes in the sand.
