A DINO thematic board game to foster pro-social behaviour and emotional expression for ages 6-8+ Inclues dino playing pieces, dice, dino fact card, dino award and dino stickers.

Dinomotions empowers children in developing appropriate social skills, self awareness, self-esteem and emotional expression; addressing each of the following areas of development: Physical: “Dinomotion” spaces provide children with opportunities to exercise gross motor control: actions are determined by the group. Social: Opportunities for sharing, taking turns are provided throughout the game as children alternate turns responding to the questions and statements on the game board. Emotional: The “feeling” focused questions provide you with opportunities to model different feeling expressions, while fostering emotional awareness and emotional expression. Children will learn to identify the different feelings they experience and how their body may respond to such feelings. Cognitive: Positive affirmations and “Dinotreat” rewards enable children to feel good about themselves while building their self-esteem.

Donicka's line of "Portable and Affordable therapeutic games" is designed for Social Service Professionals to engage children and youth in talking about their thoughts, feelings and experiences. Using games in the counselling process have several therapeutic benefits, notably as a means for building rapport while fostering: Autonomy; Positive relationships; Self esteem; Empathy; Pro-social skills; Emotional Expression; Affect Regulation; Problem Solving Skills
