She has lectured internationally and is the author of How Children Become Violent (2006) and Youth Violence: Theory, Prevention and Intervention (2011). In addition, Dr. Seifert has developed the CARE 2 Assessment, which is a valid and reliable instrument designed to assess the risk for violence and to determine the appropriate level and type of services an at-risk child requires. Dr. Seifert is the executive director of Eastern Shore Psychological Services and a past president of the Maryland Psychological Association. She has over 30 years of experience in the areas of mental health, criminal justice and addictions and has provided treatment and assessment services to youth and adults in community and correctional settings. Dr. Seifert is a member of the American College of Forensic Examiners International. Dr. Seifert has been a guest psychologist on the Discovery Channel, CNN and Fox News Radio.
